Welcome to the 2026 Cherry Hill American Little League Spring Rookie Softball Season. 

Celebrating our 71st year serving the community since 1956, Cherry Hill American Little League has 4 fields (2 with lights), with baseball and softball programs designed for player development, with an emphasis on character and sportsmanship, while fostering competition and the opportunity to compete for a berth in the Little League World Series. 

Cherry Hill American Little League is proud to introduce its newly established Girls’ Softball Program for ages 4–6—a fun, inclusive, and inspiring opportunity for our youngest athletes to discover the joy of the game. Designed specifically for beginner players, this program focuses on building confidence, coordination, teamwork, and a lifelong love of softball in a supportive, age-appropriate environment.

As one of the very first softball programs in the South Jersey area created exclusively for girls ages 4–6, Cherry Hill American Little League is leading the way in early youth sports development. This groundbreaking initiative fills a critical gap by offering young girls an opportunity to start softball earlier than ever before, helping them develop foundational skills at the same formative age when many children are first introduced to tee-ball or soccer.

The program emphasizes fun and learning through engaging drills, basic skill instruction, and simple gameplay that introduces throwing, catching, batting, and base running—all tailored to the developmental needs of young children. Experienced coaches and volunteers are trained to nurture both athletic growth and personal development, ensuring that every child feels encouraged, supported, and celebrated for their efforts.

Beyond the fundamentals of softball, the program fosters important life skills such as sportsmanship, communication, and teamwork. Participants will build friendships, gain confidence, and experience the excitement of being part of a team—all while staying active and having fun.

Cherry Hill American Little League’s Girls Softball Program for ages 4–6 reflects a strong commitment to expanding opportunities for girls in sports and investing in the future of softball in our community. By introducing young athletes to the game at an early age, the league is not only developing future players but also empowering girls to dream big, stay active, and believe in their abilities.

This exciting new program marks a meaningful milestone for youth softball in South Jersey and sets a new standard for early player development. Cherry Hill American Little League invites families to be part of this historic launch and help shape the next generation of confident, capable, and passionate young softball players.

2026 Spring Softball registration is open December 1, 2025 - February 15, 2026. In order to be guaranteed a team assignment and uniform, you must register by February 15th. Registrations received after February 15, 2026, will be subject to late fee and waitlist.

2026 Spring Softball season runs from late March to early June, with practices beginning in March (weather permitting).
